Is it safe to send payslips over WhatsApp?

Every payslip is a password-protected PDF, sent privately to that one employee and opened with their ID number. A forwarded file is no use without it.

Does my team need to install an app?

Accepted Answer

No. They message the AllWage number on WhatsApp and the menu appears. They need a smartphone with WhatsApp and data or WiFi at the time they use it.

Can one employee clock in for another?

Accepted Answer

Clocking is locked to each employee's registered number, so nobody clocks against another profile from their own phone. What no phone-based method rules out is someone handing their own phone over, which is why we do not claim WhatsApp confirms identity. Where that matters, put the facial recognition app on those teams and run both in one system.

What about teams with no signal or no smartphones?

WhatsApp clocking needs a connection for the whole exchange, so it is the wrong tool there. Use RFID wristbands on a rugged device, which works offline, or a fixed biometric reader at the entrance. Same timesheets, same pay run.

Question 5

Who approves leave, and can employees see each other's information?

Accepted Answer

You do, in the AllWage portal. Employees only ever request. Each person sees their own payslips, hours, shifts and balances and nothing else, and you control which features they can reach.

Can I get this without moving my payroll?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Take Time & Attendance and the WhatsApp tools on their own, keep your current payroll, and bring payroll across later if it makes sense. Hours export cleanly for whoever runs your pay run today.
