The Challenge

Managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring accurate tracking of changes across various operations can be challenging. Lack of clear change tracking/audit logs can lead to errors, miscommunication, and accountability issues.

Why We Developed Audit Logs

To address these challenges, we developed Audit Logs based on user feedback and the need for comprehensive change tracking. Our goal is to provide a transparent, detailed record of every action taken within the system, making it easier to manage and review changes.

1. Comprehensive Change TrackingAudit Logs provide a detailed record of every action taken within the platform, including who made the change, what was changed, and when it was changed. This ensures a transparent workflow and holds individuals accountable.

2. Error Management and CorrectionWith side-by-side comparisons of original and new values, users can quickly identify and correct errors, minimising the risk of inaccuracies and ensuring smooth operations.

3. Detailed Log Breakdown

Each log entry includes:

• User: The person who performed the action.
• Event ID: A unique identifier for each log entry.
• Date and Time: When the action was performed.
• Action Type: The specific type of change made.
• Context: A summary of the data affected by this action.

Accessing Audit Logs

Currently, this update is only applicable to pay runs but will be expanded to the entire system as our team continues to develop. To access this feature, navigate to Payroll > Pay Runs > Audit Logs on the right column.
